What is the best water filter for a 40 gal turtle tank? - best water filter
I began planning a new home for my 4 inches long Trachemys scripta elegans. It is in a tank of 5.5 liters. I think about him (or her) a breeding tank 40 liters. What is the best filter for this tank? I saw the 205th Fluval If the water filter good? (110 gal / h, up to 40 gallons) Are there other filters used this person? I'm spending as little as possible, but is obviously not a good filter. He likes to dig and who to use a good ground, so that you can not dig it? Currently, I have small stones in the bottom of the tank with plastic sun newspaper.

Turtles! I Love Em '. I have 2 red - eared sliders. Tyrone is about 4 years and shell measures 5 1 / 2 "diameter.
ReplyDeleteJared is much lower, about 3 inches in diameter. I recently took a thimble. Leroi was his name ... was great. 8 "diameter.
They live in a tank of 75 liters. The bottom of the container is covered with small river rocks and plants. I like hiding places among themselves. They also have a floating platform to enjoy the light and keep warm.
But to answer your question ... "Fluval" focused on the filter for turtles. They come in different sizes for different sized tanks you accomaodate. For the 40-gallon tank, a minimum number of 204 #. I sold the largest in the Pet Shop # 404 100 liters of filtered water.
The only part of the filtration in water consumption and discharge tube. There is therefore a minimum of space in the tank, allowing more room for the turtles.
The engine is in a container on the ground under the tank is to abstain. It is very quiet. CleaNing is very simple. No need to be cleaned more often. I cleaned all the filters and the tank every 4 months. Even then the water remains clear, of course, still sediment in the bottom of the tank.
I suggest entering the Fluval filter. Worth the extra money if you change the filter every two weeks. If you buy this brand, I'm sure you and your turtle will be thrilled.
Good luck;
Kevin
You can use a filter or submersible Fluval use is also good. Her ex does not have the tank to the brim with water or is populated on the turtle
ReplyDeleteI like Whisper. Unbelievable. I have bad luck with other brands, and it is on the 3rd try! It is very quiet, and the filters last a long time. I could go in 2 months as a filter for my frog tank. It was great! That is what I recommend. The supplies are a bit expensive, but its definitley worth it!
